Brief History
The Scarlet Beetle was a mutated insect that gained consciousness, free-thinking and the ability to command other insects to do his bidding. He captured Ant-Man and used his serum to become huge. He then launched an attack on the world, but Ant-Man defeated him and turned him back into an insect again. He has, however, returned to fight other Marvel heroes over time, including the West Coast Avengers and Iron Man. He appeared in the final issue of Sensational She-Hulk.
