Ives was Tim Drakes close school friend and more than once ended up going to the same school as Drake. He has often been portrayed as Tim`s best friend. When Tim went to a support group for a case he spotted Ives leaving and Found out that Ives had follicular cancer, which Ives said was the cancer you wanted to get, if you had to choose one. He is now bald.
