One day his airplane was caught in a thunderstorm and caught fire. He was able to crushland it in an isolated location of the jungle. There he discovered an African tribe who had never had any contact with Europeans. They were already impressed impressed with the man who fell from the sky. He used a few simple tricks to convince them he was devine. He became their “Mighty Lord from Sky Above”.
He was convinced that he could rule them. Instead he was eventually led to a place between their impenetrable wooden walls and unexploted jungle terrain. They were islated for centuries because they feared a monster from the jungle. They left him there to face the monster and free them from centuries of fear. When last seen Serge was still trapped there and the night was falling. He had no idea if there was a monster or not. But he was certainly unable to survive in the jungle with no supplies.
