Sergeant Colon

Fred Colon has been in the watch since before Samuel Vimes, and although on the surface appears to be a fat, lazy, cowardly man he has many hidden depths. Between himself and his partner Corporal Nobbs they have a street level knowledge on par with Vimes’ and he is far more intellegent than he looks. He never sees his wife on account of him working the nights and her working the days (Vimes attributes the length of their marridge down to this very fact). They communicate with each other through leaving notes, as they do with their now fully grown son.
