Seyg-El makes his first live action appearance in SYFY Channel’s new TV series called Krypton and premiered on March 21, 2018. Seyg-El is portrayed by Cameron Cuffe. In this show, Seyg-El is referred as “Seg-El” which is a common mistake.
When Seg-El was a boy, he and his family were once stripped of their family name by the Council of Krypton when his grandfather, Val-El, was sentenced to death for constructing the Fortress of Solitude from outside threats in the universe. Seg-El and his parents, Ter-El and Charys-El, were sentenced to reside in the slums of Kandor. Fourteen years later, Seg-El, now in his roaring 20’s, lives a rough life until he prevents a Black Zero terrorist attack. Soon after, Seg-El is granted to join the Science Council as a reward for his act of herosim and is even betrothed to Nyssa-Vex. Seg-El secretly has a relationship with Lyta-Zod, the daughter of Krypton’s chief military guard Alura-Zod. Seg-El meets Adam Strange, who time traveled to Krypton’s past to help him find the Fortress Val-El built and to warn him that Brainiac will come and destroy Krypton before his future grandson, Superman, is ever born.
Trivia
