Major Story Arcs
In Wild Valley, many of the land owners are packing up and moving out on account of a wolf man being spotted. The Sheriff winds up selling homes when landowners abandon their plots of land. The Sheriff posts a notice for Birdie Snerd‘s house when he is approached by Charlie McCarthy and Mortimer Snerd. He is unimpressed with their account of a wolf man that tried to kill them. The boys return later and drop a calf off in his office and call it evidence. The Sheriff lets his temper get the best of him and chases the boys out and destroys their evidence by chiseling away mysterious markings on the calf’s hoof. He later comes to regret his brash dismissal of the boys when he hears from Birdie Snerd that they are cornered by bandits. The Sheriff is relieved to find that the boys were resourceful enough to stay alive. He arrests the bandits.
