Arwyn and Gareth meets Shiara while passing through a town. Shiara tells them there is a dragon in the hills, and that this dragon kills many people and keep many treasures. They climb down a hill leaving the horse, the dog and Shiara to wait. When they get down there a dragon is waiting. The attack the dragon and Gareth grabs a sword and stabs it. The dragon turns into Shiara. She tells them she wanted the bow. Arwyn makes a compromise telling Shiara if she kills Mordath she can keep the bow. Shiara agrees and flies them to Mordath castle where she helps fight the forces of Mordath and Mordath himself. She flies to where Arwyn and Gareth is and flies them to her hill and dies suffering from many wounds.
