Sierin Vayu

Origin

Little is known about Sierin Vayu’s early life. She travelled to Tar Valon as a young woman to receive training in the White Tower. Eventually she was raised Aes Sedai, choosing the Grey. This came as a surprise to many, as most had expected her to choose the Red.  

Creation

Sierin was created by Robert Jordan for his book series The Wheel of Time, making her first appearance in the prequel, New Spring. She made her first appearance in comics in Wheel of Time: New Spring #5, written by Jordan and Chuck Dixon and illustrated by Mike Miller    

Major Story Arcs

New Spring 

Following the murder of Tamra Ospenya by members of the Black Ajah, Sierin is raised Amyrlin. She is noted as an extremely strict Amyrlin, firing all male clerks in the Tower and exiling three sisters within a week of her raising. She is not made aware of the search for the Dragon Reborn. About five years after being raised she is murdered by members of the Red Ajah, who are incited to do so by Chesmal Emry, a member of the Black. 

Powers and Abilities

Sierin is a channeler of some power. As a channeler, her lifespan is greatly expanded compared to regular humans. However, as an Aes Sedai and thus bound by the Three Oaths, her potential lifespan is shortened.
