Sir Butch

Origin

Sir Butch was a young (teenage?) tough guy from Brooklyn wearing a Dink or Rat Cap (like Jughead) who spoke in dems and does who spent his time hanging out in Flatbush stealing apples, playing stick ball in the street despite traffic and bothering the local cops.

One day while on the run form officer Clancy he falls through an open manhole and finds himself transported to a time of knights in shining armor, while there he defeats an evil wizard named Floda Reltin (Adolf `nitler’ backwards) and is made a Knight of the Square Table before being returned to Brooklyn by a friendly wizard.

After that Butch finds himself stumbling into other portals and returning to the kingdom that knows him as Sir Butch where he battles a series of giants, wizards, evil knights, and one time even Loki the God of Mischief, he also from time to time brings back magic items from the Kingdom which he uses to prank the cops on patrol on his street in Flatbush.

Sir Butch was an early creation of Dave Berg of Mad Magazine fame, the character never had a regular home comic but seemed to be moved from one to another as filler as needed.

This Fawcett Sir Butch is not to be confused with the sometimes sidekick of the Shining Knight also known as Sir Butch over at DC.
