History

Sixshot is a one robot army that works for the Decepticons.

G1 Cartoon

During Generation One, the Decepticons raid Autobot City and steal the key to the Plasma Energy Chamber. When they return to Cybertron, Galvatron, the current Decepticon leader, calls upon Sixshot to attack the Aerialbots. Sixshot destroys the entire team using all his alternate modes.

IDW Publishing Continuity

In a spotlight issue, Sixshot is portrayed as mean killing machine who excels at what he does. Most decepticons fear him and stay away from his path. On the other hand, he’s idolized by the Terrorcons. As they go missing, Sixshot sets out to locate them.

On the world of Muma-Obscura, he finds the Reapers who are world devastators. They hold the Terrorcons captive and challenge him to battle. Sixshot accepts the challenge and is victorious. It all ends up being a test by the Reapers to determine is Sixshot is worthy of joining them. When they produce the Terrorcons, they offer Sixshot one more test. He has to destroy the Terrorcons.

Sixshot seems very tempted to do so, and blasts away at the Terrorcons but purposely misses. The Reapers accept his decision and leave them alone saying they will meet Sixshot again.

Powers and Abilities

Sixshot is incredibly intelligent, and in all forms he possesses enormous strength, durability and speed (he was fast enough to catch Jazz and strong enough to tear his arm off without any effort, and can fight evenly with the likes of Optimus Prime).

As a robot, he carries around two hypersonic concussion blasters, which become part of him in all transformations but the winged wolf creature. His wings are readily available for flight in this mode.

As an armored carrier, his blasters become twin laser batteries. His wings can swing backwards to form an additional platform.

As a ramming-tank he gains an infra-red target finder and target tracker. His firepower becomes augmented as cannons concealed into his legs are added to his blasters. In this mode his wings can swing forward to add to his ramming capabilities.

As a jet-propelled laser pistol, his firepower is maximized. In this mode he can hover in mid-air. Contrary to other Decepticons with gun modes such as Megatron, Sixshot has yet to diminish his size to fit into someone’s hand. He can fly in this mode to turn around and shoot, but he has very limited mobility.

As a starfighter, he’s got a maximum speed of 80,000 mph and a range of 0.8 million miles. This is his fastest form, and although he can fly in other forms, this how he flies best and his preferred mode for extended travel.

Only the wolf-creature has no need for Sixshot’s two hypersonic concussion blasters, the wolf mode prefers to rip apart enemy Autobots with his razor fangs. His strength is maximized in this form, and he is capable of flight. As a wolf he can go berserker for a limited amount of time. In this form he possesses great leaping and flight abilities.

Redeemed?

In Japan continuity, Sixshot is the transformers’ equivalent of a Ninja. His powers include projecting his alternate forms as holographic images that can even gain substance and attack. In this continuity he can even disguise himself. He’s almost redeemed as he saves a human life and shows an honor not unlike a samurai. He also once displays a seventh mode, the Wingwolf which presumably combines all the top skills from his other six forms.

Afterwards, an autobot called Greatshot appeared. He’s a six-changer who is identical to Sixshot, except colored differently. He talks in a samurai fashion, uses Sixshot’s ninja-like powers, plus the ability to teleport. He also wields two swords with considerable skill. Although fan legend has it that this may be Sixshot reedemed or some long-lost brother, it has never been officially confirmed.
