Origin
Croyd Crenson was caught in the first Wild Card outbreak in New York City in 1946 and drew an Ace, gaining superhuman powers. He stays awake for weeks at a time, then falls into a deep coma-like sleep for up to several months, during which time his body transforms.
Creation
Croyd Crenson, the Sleeper, was created by author Roger Zelazny for George R. R. Martin’s Wild Cards anthology series, and first appeared in the short story “Sleeper”, published in the first Wild Cards novel in 1987.
