Smarty Grandpa

Usually accompanied by his two grandchildren, a boy and a girl, Grandpa was a cunning and mischievous old man who enjoyed several escapades through early issues of the Dandy. Only his wife, who even he called Grandma, tended to get the better of him.

Created by Dudley Watkins, he strongly resembles Grandpa Broon, another Watkins’ creation, while his grandson resembles Oor Wullie (also a Watkins’ creation). However, despite these matching likenesses, they are not the same characters.
