Snail originated in the television series Adventure Time.
Creation
Snail is an Easter Egg character, created by Pendleton Ward and hidden in all episodes of Adventure Time, as well as appearing in the Boom! Studios comic book. While usually a non-speaking character who appears for the entertainment of viewers and readers, he has occasionally become relevant to the story. An example of this is when he is possessed by The Lich.
