Snot was a member of the Hellfire Academy, a school run by murderous supervillains. Two of his fellow students included Quentin Quire and Glob Herman.
Snot was put through the Siege Perilous and transformed into a mightier version of himself.
The school was later obliterated by the actions of the X-Men.
