Soldier Unknown

Origin

The Soldier Unknown appears intuitively, “whenever democratic peoples face their darkest hour”. He describes himself as “the spirit of the boys who died to see that our nation shall live forever.”

Creation

The legendary Harvey Kurtzman drew several adventures of the Soldier Unknown in 1943. The character, similar in concept to Captain Courageous, was discontinued in 1947, by which time he was called simply, The Unknown.The Soldier Unknown is unrelated to the DC Comics war hero The Unknown Soldier who was seen in Star Spangled War Stories. He is a Golden Age character who was reborn a few times and most recently with Project Superpowers.

Powers

The Soldier Unknown can fly, and move so fast that he can create small tornado, is strong enough to punch down a stone wall and, he also carries a gun that fires not bullets, but exploding “nitro pellets.”
