Solem

Origin

Solem is an Arrakki mutant who was imprisoned in the pit of the Tower of Broken Will after he killed Bracken after being challenged by him. War, the wife and lover of Bracken, gifter Solem with Bracken’s Hellblade because she thought he might go insane because of the sollitude and commi suicide. However, Solem found the solitude as something to enjoy.

Major Story Arcs

X of Swords

During the X of Swords crossover, Solem was broken free from the pit to take part in Saturnyne‘s challenge and entered Hell via his Hellblade. In Hell he met his opponet Wolverine who was imprisoned. The two of them had to cooperate in order to get the Muramasa Blade and went looking for Muramasa himself. They stumbled upon a Muramasa who had become a slave for The Hand. Muramasa was giving Muramasa Blades to a couple that was getting married and The Beast was carrying out the wedding. Solem and Wolverine killed the couple and Solem snatched the two blades while Logan was captured by the Beast. Solem offered Logan to free him in order for a favor later on and Wolverine agreed.

Solem used his favor later on in the crossover when he had to fight War during Saturnyne’s challenge. He called out Wolverine in order to fight instead of him, but before he left the battle with War, he admitted to her that he killed her child.
