Sophie, the daughter of a noted Occult Crimes Taskforce officer, who was killed in a raid on the Soul Ripper is inducted into the O.C.T. where she searches for the soul ripper, eventually finding out from her dad’s partner, Joan that she was the one promised to destroy the Soul Ripper.
The O.C.T. seem unable to work the case and after Sophie’s mother’s apartment is attacked, Joan convinces Sophie that she should go rogue. When the two of them reach the site where her father died, Joan reveals that she is a traitor and in league with the Soul Ripper.
In the attempt to possess Sophie’s body, she in turn possesses the Soul Ripper.
