Origin
Soren knew she had powers at a young age, but when she predicted her father’s death her village turned on her. They labeled her a witch and she was forced to flee from everyone she knew, including her mother. As Soren got older, she learned to control her necro powers but she still looked it as a curse. This lead her to Abbey where she learned the holymen were a death cult. She was going to be burned at the stake for being a witch when she was saved by Owen the Barbarian.
Creation
Soren first appeared in Barbaric #1 but she was not given a name until the second issue.
Major Story Arcs
Murderous Offenses
Soren had been traveling the lands of Gimesh looking for someone to help her rid herself of the curse. This leads her to the Abbey because she heard they could help people with death. She stayed there for months, praying, medidating, fasting and sacerficing, but then one night she heard weird chanting. She soon learned that the abbot was praying to a demon and the abbey was infact a death cult. The monks attacked her and gave her over to the town folk to be burned as a witch.
This is where she was saved by Owen the Barbarian and his magic axe. She asks him for help and due to his curse he was forced to help her. The pair break into the Abbey where everyone seems frozen to death.
The pair soon stumple upon a weird machine that amplified Soren’s power and she becomes corrupted. She turns on Owen but instead of killing her, Owen kills the Abbot and his demon god. This breaks the spell Soren is under and the pair make their escape. Once outside, Soren convinces Owen to let her come along and help fight evil.
Powers
Soren can communicate with the dead, as well as dispell undead beings such as zombies and ghosts.
She has tattoos on her body that she can make into physical items, such as swords, daggers and throwing stars. She can then recall these items and they reappear on her body with little to no ill effect.
Soren has limited mind reading abilities.
She “has control or dead things, including dead memories”. SHe uses this power to show others what she remembers.
