Sparda

Origin

Sparda served as one of Mundus’ generals in Hell. A cult on Earth constructed the Temen-Ni-Gru, a colossal tower that would serve as a gateway to Hell and Mundus planned to invade Earth. Sparda decided to rebel and lift his great sword against him. Sparda fought back the armies of hell and, with the assistance of a human priestess, successfully sealed the Temen-ni-Gru away. He became a champion of the humans who came to regard him as the legendary dark knight.

But as with all legends, his story ultimately became a myth, then a fairytale, but he would quietly protect the humans for the next 2,000 years, even defeating another lord of hell named Argosax. Before his mysterious disappearance, he fathered twin sons ( Dante and Vergil) with a human woman named Eva.

Powers and Abilities

According to the legend, Sparda was a great swordsman who wielded the power necessary to fight against the rulers of hell.
