Spielvan or Spielban is the hero of the Japanese tokusatsu series Jikuu Senshi Spielban by Toe Company, belonging to the Metal Hero franchise, the series was adapted by Saban into VR Troopers, with Spielvan being adapted as J. B. Reese.
In Brazil, Spielvan’s series was called Jaspion 2 – Spielvan, an allusion to the hero of the previous series of the franchise, Kyoj? Tokus? Jasupion, in the comics published by Editora Abril, Toei’s characters are part of the same shared universe, with Juspion and Spielvan starring in a crossover in Almanaque do Spielvan #1.
Toei did crossovers between the Super Sentai franchises (which Saban adapted as Power Rangers) and Kamen Riders (which Saban adapted as Masked Rider), but currently, the Metal Hero franchise has also been included with crossovers mainly in films like Gokaiger VS Gavan, Super Hero Taisen Z, Space Squad and Uchu Sentai Kyuranger vs. Space Squad.
