In life he was a cruel and sadistic man, taking pleasure in impaling little girls. Ironically as his path crossed with The Box and Pinhead, he was impaled through his head, and turned into a cenobite. Spike was written into both Hellraiser: Deader and Hellraiser: Hellworld, but was cut from the film. However he does appear in the fan-films and comics.
