Creation
Originally created for the Japanese TV show Ky?ry? Sentai Zyuranger in 1992 known as Dora Guzzler, appearing as a one-off villain. When adapted for a western audience into Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, the monster was renamed Spit Flower.
In Ky?ry? Sentai Zyuranger Dora Guzzler was voiced by Gennosuke Yokoi. In Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Spit Flower was voiced by Mike Reynolds.

Spit Flower made its first appearance in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers season 1 episode 24 – The Spit Flower.

Spit Flower made its first appearance in Godzilla vs. the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #3 as part of a vision of the future ruled by Rita Repulsa.
