Torin Mac Quillon, a Celtic warrior from the Roman Empire times, is taken from the past just as he was about to be killed by Roman soldiers and teleported to the future by Tamara, a descendant of his wife’s second marriage, to help save earth from destruction from a dying sun. They have to find ancient medallions which will activate a machine to save the sun. They travel in a starship called the Jolly Roger and Tamara fitted Torin with a headband which is connected to a computer android monkey which helps him know the technology of the future and the ability to run the ship and other advanced systems.
