A former research assistant, Dr. Jenny Burke became Sunstreak after a lab explosion left her bonded with a device of her own creation called a Solar Tranducer. As a result, she was coated in a solar shell that affords her a level of invulnerability and is able to emit bright light flares, fire laser beams, and create weapons out of solid light.
