Sven Nelson is the father of Kent Nelson, otherwise known as Doctor Fate.
He was in the Valley of Ur, in a archeologyst expedition with his 12 years old son Kent Nelson exploring the ruins of a summerian civilization and found more than they ever dreamed, the temple of Nabu. For some reason, the gas which released Nabu of suspended animation, was lethal and killed him.
