Brief History
Tanak succeeded to the leader of the Nova Corps after the death of Rhomann Dey and relinquishment of Nova energy by Richard Rider. He was also married to Queen Adora of Xandar, which both of them are dear towards each other. Initially, he may have been a Millenian (2nd Tier Rank above Corpsmen) and one of the few surviving ranking member assuming control of Nova Corps remnants after the shattering of the planet by Zorr. During the Skrull invasion, he was wounded from protecting his wife who entered a portal to Earth for aid against the invaders. While it seems that he would perish, Tanak miraculously recovered and embraced Queen Adora before resuming his duty. After driving out the Skrull, he was given the position as Nova Prime with Richard Rider relinquishing his power given by Rhomann Dey. He was killed by Nebula‘s attack on Xandar, but Queen Adora relayed a portion of Nova Energy to Richard Rider in order to preserve its legacy that eventually a foundation of the species’ rebirth when Richard Rider returned to Xander and utilized his Nova powers to restore the planet’s biosphere and cloning facility. Unfortunately, Tanak was not one of the Xandarians cloned with Queen Adora assuming his old title while still missing him.
