Tara Chace grew up learning to be tough after her parents divorced and she was shipped off to a boarding school. She completed her formal education at Cambridge, where she was recruited by Britain’s Secret Intelligence Service. After intensive training, she became an elite field officer in the Special Operations Section of the SIS.Â

Tara Chace was created by Greg Rucka as the star of his creator-owned Queen & Country series from Oni Press. He initially played with the idea that she was actually Lily Sharpe, a British agent from his Whiteout series. He later decided not to go that route and developed Tara as her own completely independent character.
