Tarna Feir

Origin

Born and raised in northern Altara, Tarna was sent to Tar Valon to be trained at the White Tower as a young woman. She had already begun channeling before arriving in the Tower, making her a wilder. She had developed a block against channeling with her eyes open; it was beaten out of her by Galina Casban. She spent nine years as a Novice and at least four as Accepted

Creation

Tarna was originally created by Robert Jordan for his book series The Wheel of Time, making her first appearance in the prequel novel, New Spring. She made her first comic appearance in Wheel of Time: New Spring #2, written by Jordan and Chuck Dixon and illustrated by Mike Miller.

Major Story Arcs

New Spring

Tarna is an Accepted who is acquainted with Moiraine Damodred and Siuan Sanche. They are on speaking terms, but not particularly close. She aids in the census being taken of newly-born children in and around Tar Valon at the behest of the Amyrlin Tamra Ospenya.

Powers and Abilities

Tarna is a channeler of fair strength, and has the inborn trait to channel, meaning that she started unintentionally. As a channeler, her lifespan is greatly expanded compared to regular humans. However, as an Aes Sedai and thus bound by the Three Oaths, her potential lifespan is shortened.
