Taros

Taros is the son of Ares, the Greek god of war. Much to his father’s displeasure, Taros was a man of peace, raised by his mortal mother to love all things. After gathering wood in the forest near his home, Taros found his mother and sister raped and murdered, there heads on pikes in front of his house. Grief-stricken, Taros begged his father for aid.  Ares arrived and granted Taros what he would need for vengeance: immortality. As Taros was not a fighter, Ares allowed him to never be killed, giving him endurance to sleigh the gang of thieves that so brutally destroyed his family. It was only after he killed almost all of his family’s attackers that Taros learned the truth: Ares had hired the men, knowing full well that Taros would be forced to become a more fitting heir to the Greek god of war.
