Teshima (??, Teshima) is a supporting character of the manga/anime series Highschool of the Dead that was written by Daisuke Sato and illustrated by Shouji Sato. The series first began serialization in Fujimi Shobo’s Monthly Dragon Age magazine in July 2006.

His first appearance was in Hightschool of the Dead Volume 1 CH. 1 “Spring of the Dead”, and

In the U.S.translation provided by Yen Press, his name is spelled as Teshima, but the Japanese dub of the anime pronounces his name as Tejima. The kanji of his name could be translated as both “Tejima” and “Teshima”.

Highschool of the Dead

His first anime appearance was in Highschool of the Dead – Episode 1 “Spring of the Dead”. His character in the Japanese series is voiced by Takeshi Maeda, and the U.S. dub produced by Section 23 is performed by Blake Shepard.

During some of the ending credits of the anime, a montage of photos that are suppose to be of scenes before the outbreak. TeShima is seen in one at what appears to be a pub with Kyoko Hayashi. The design of TeShima was altered form his original manga appearance. In the manga, he’s shown with black hair and not as lean as his anime counterpart.
