Thal Porvis’ daughter, Shayera Thal I, died in a bombing on Thanagar set by rebels. He raised her daughter, his grandaughter, Shayera Thal II, who grew up to be a Wingman in the Thanagarian police force and a super-hero known as Hawkwoman on Earth.
In The New 52, Thal Porvis was possibly replaced by a new character Thal Provis, who is now Hawkwoman’s father.
