Origin
A legendary soldier and unsung hero, The Boss not only had an extraordinary life, but her beginnings were also quite unique. The daughter of one of the original Wisemen’s Committee members, she was born in 1922, and would also grow up in the eyes of the The Philosophers. The Boss’s father would reveal and detail several of the secrets and inner machinations of the organization to her, The Boss acquiring much knowledge of the Philosophers. Her fathers transgressions however would lead to him to be secretly assassinated for passing on such forbidden knowledge. The Boss herself would go on to become an instructor at a Philosopher Charm School.
Creation
The Boss, also known as The Joy, is a fictional character created by Hideo Kojima and Yoji Shinkawa.
Major Story Arcs
World War II
During the war The Boss was part of the SAS (Special Air Service) regiment. Her role was that of a special advisor and with her help they created the Rayforce and the L Detachment.
