Peter Lapage is a slasher who rises from his grave every year on February 2nd.  One year, an occurrence connected with Mary Shelley Lovecraft caused all the seasonal, holiday slashers to become active and Lapage rose early.  Cassie Hack and Vlad arrived in Punxsutawney, Philadelphia too late and had to track down the slasher.  Cassie and Vlad rescued a house filled with people at a Topperware party.  Though Cassie was unaware of Lovecraft’s involvement, when the strange being was stopped, Peter Lapage halted his attack and began walking back to his grave.  Cassie threw a stick of dynamite at him and blew him up.
