A mysterious being who appears as the Abyss is dying, emerging from the nothingness while Manteau refers to him as ‘the shadow on the line.’ He demonstrates a mastery over the Dial, shifting through several heroes quickly and without any trouble. He stabs X.N.‘s H Dial, breaking it, and sending her falling to her death. He then dives back into the last speck of the Abyss before his nothingness completely fades. Nelson Jent suspects that he didn’t come after them because their Dial is malfunctioning and that they will see him again.
