The Grey Comet

Origin

Colonel (no first name) Grey was a great pilot, and an even better photographer, who during his career in World War II as a photo reconnaissance pilot for the Army Air Corp became known as the Grey Comet as he slipped over enemy lines to take pictures of important German military sites. Aided by his personal mechanic Jay,( sometimes referred to as Mac in a few issues), as well as his plane, that was turned into a flying camera.

On every one of his missions he was inevitably pursued by the Nazis, however the Grey Comet and his blue & yellow camera plane always proved too nimble an adversary for them.
