The Avenger
The Player is a sportsman who claims that he can beat anyone an live at any game he plays. For years he’s devoted himself to sports and games. He became an expert at everything and seeks out worthy opponents. He’s beaten the world’s champion table tennis player, a champion bowler, the world’s finest bridge player, and a renowned chess player. One day he reads the a newspaper article of The Avenger capturing the Baron Young Gang. From that moment, The Player decided to play real cops-and-robbers with the renowned superhero. He hires henchmen and begins a crimewave to get The Avenger’s attention. When The Avenger showed up at the Empire City Toys & Games Exhibit, The Player uses the exhibit’s giant game props as a deathtrap. The Player was eventually caught by The Avenger.

FemForce
The Player resurfaces in the pages of FemForce. His real name is Dr. Simon Nadeu. It is revealed that he is a member of The League of Alternative Science, a team of public domain comic book villains who were formed after the revival of Dr. Jonathan Weir‘s Vault of Heroes where each renegade scientists, or their surviving relatives, are the archenemy of the Vault Heroes.
