During the Vietnam War, Esteban Rojas was a member of Long Range Reconnaissance Patrol. While being in jungles, he was exposed to the infamous Agent Orange that, according to him, gave him hay fever which made his life go down the drain. Then Esteban (now calling himself “Purple Purposeless”) decided to became a sub-hero – a type of hero who must resist any will to help anyone who is in trouble.
He met Shyleen Lao in St. Aloysius Hospital, but did nothing to help her, staying true to his credo.
