The Revenant is Ezekiel Wright, a costumed adventurer from the 1930’s era. He was formerly a magician’s stage assistant on Broadway, until a racist rival accused Wright of having felt up a white woman. Rather than be left to rot by a corrupt legal system, Wright went on the run and became the Revenant.
As the Revenant, Wright uses a variety of stage magic tricks and associated gadgets – like a ring that releases a cloud of smoke – to combat villains.
