Shooting Star debuted in a back-up short story in Batman #256, where Bruce Wayne wasn’t inspired by a bat to became a crime fighter, but by a shooting star he saw in the sky. Grant Morrison used this concept for the Batman analogue of earth 47 and member of the Love Syndicate of Dreamworld.
It is possible he has a sister.
