Creative Concept
Stingray debuted in a back-up short story in Batman #256, where Bruce Wayne wasn’t inspired by a bat to became a crime fighter, but by a stingray. Grant Morrison used this concept for the Batman analogue of earth 34 and member of the Light Brigade.
Stingray is also a reverse analogue to Astro City’s Confessor.
