History

Flashpoint: Project Superman

The origin of Super-Man is similar to Superman‘s own origin but there are several differences: his rocket didn’t landed on Kansas, but in the heart of Metropolis, causing several damages and death. The rocket and his passenger was captured byt the US Army who discovered earlier the potential powers than the child would had if he was exposed to earth sun. To keep him under control and using him as source of knowledge to create superpowered soldiers, he was integrated to the Project Superman, a secret base under Metropolis and was kept prisioner under red sun radiation to keep him weak.

In the Project Superman bunker, the kid was friendly treated by the man in charge, General Sam Lane, but also was constantly tauted in secret by Subject Zero, a failed experiment of the project. The kid grew fearful and untrusting of people. When Subject Zero got freed, the child Kal stood against him to protect the daughter of General Lane, Lois. When everything seemed lost, Sam Lane appeared with a Phantom Zone vest and sacrifice himself to send, he and Subject Zero, to the Phantom Zone. After that, Kal was again prisioner of the Project Superman, now under the command of General Nathaniel Adam.

Subject One was eventually freed by team of heroes lead by Barry Allen, the only one conscious about the transformations of the timeline. However, once freed, the scared Kal, aka Subject-One, flew away leaving his saviors behind, but flying to London, in search of Lois Lane who was acting as an spy on what had left of the city. However, when the heroes freed Kal, they also destroyed the power source than kept Subject Zero trapped in the Phantom Zone. Now free to roam the world, Zero killed Sam Lane, and went after Kal.

When Kal found Lois, he tried to convince her to escape, meanwhile she tried to convince him to stay and fight. Their discussion was interrupted by the arrival of Zero, who tried to kill Lois, but Kal again fought against the more powerful enemy. As the battle rised in iintensity, Zero started to bleed energy as Kal absorbed it. This left Zero weak enough for Kal to kill him with a powerful punch. In the fight, however, Lois was hurt and with her last words, he asked to Kal to help in the war happening in London. This convinced Kal to give his help and enter in the battle just in time to kill a mad Enchantress who has lost control and was killing enemies and allies alike. Still young to battle he went against Queen Wonder Woman and Emperor Aquaman, meanwhile the atlanteans activated their weapon to sink the britanic island. In the middle of this chaos, Barry Allen apparently returned the timeline to its right continuum, erasing the Flashpoint universe.

Convergence

Subject One appeared on Convergence, helping the Batman of that reality to fight aginst Superman and Lois. However, he protected Lois Lane instead enter in a fight.

Flashpoint Beyond
