A 17th century botanist who was chosen as the champion of the Green during his lifetime. After his retirement to the Parliament of Trees, he became Alec Holland’s mentor in his contest with the Seeder.
The Wolf is a former avatar of the Green and member of the Parliament of Trees. He is Alec Holland’s guide when he journeys into the Green to prepare for his battle with Seeder. He gives Alec an oral history of the Green and its chosen avatars throughout history. He also introduces Alec to Lady Weeds in order to test him and also sends him to battle the previous Swamp Thing that was given Alec’s memories.
