The Yellow Kid first appeared in Truth Magazine, 2 June 1894 in the strip Hogans Alley.
Yellow Kid was a bald headed, gap tooth street urchin wearing a nightshirt. He made frequent appearances throughout the months and soon became the main character in this strip. When his strip gain color his nightshirt had a bright yellow shade thus gained the name “The Yellow Kid“.
