Cornelius Van Lunt wished to buy his land but Thomas didn’t wish to sell this caused Van Lunt to order a drive-by on the Talltrees family killing Thomas and his wife Rebecca. Their son William was so wrought with vengeance he tried to commune with Owayodata which he did and he granted him power. Thus William became the Red Wolf and went off to seek his revenge.
