Thorne

Origin

As a member of the Kavari tribe, Thorne is raised with the notion that the tribe is his family and that honor is very important. One day out hunting with his son, they came upon a Skarab warrior. Telling his son to run back to the village to warn their chief, he did not stay for long. He also went back to the village, gather his son and wife and hid in the mountains. Ashamed for his actions, he joined Glinda‘s quest to retrieve the Veridian Scepter, hoping it would regain his honor.

Creation

Like most characters of the Grimm Fairy Tales lore, Thorne has his inspiration in fairy tales or literature. Thorne is inspired on the Cowardly Lion from L. Frank Baum‘s children’s book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz (1900).
