Tim Foster

Origin

Tim Foster is Amy’s guidance counselor in the comic book series Zero Girl. He also features in the later title Zero Girl: Full Circle, which is set fifteen years after the events of the original series. In the latter, he also has a stepdaughter, named Nikki Foster.

Creation

Tim was created by Sam Kieth.

Character Development

Although ten years her senior, Amy develops an intense crush on Tim. In Zero Girl, he makes it clear to her that while he does care deeply for her, she is too young for him. Instead, he gives Amy his number, and tells her to give him a call when she turns eighteen. They meet up three years later, only to find that Tim is married, and Amy engaged.

When the two are reunited in Full Circle, Tim expresses hurt at being shut out of Amy’s life for so long, after she confesses that she threw his phone number away, too embarrassed by his initial rejection to pursue him any further. The two are still in love, however, and attempt to rekindle their romance.
