Origin
Tin is one of the Metal Men created by scientist Doctor Will Magnus. Like the rest of the team, he is powered by a responsometer, a nuclear powered microscopic activator. Not only does this device animate his body, but it endows him with a distinct and decidedly human personality.
Tin is the smallest and quantitatively the weakest of the Metal Men, though his bravery cannot be questioned, for he is always willing to risk his own existence for the sake of others. As a result of his feelings of inadequacy, which are often magnified when he is with Mercury who verbally bullies him, Tin has a stutter. Once in the heat of battle, however, Tin’s stutter leaves him.
Lonely, Tin created a robot companion for himself. “Nameless” became the unofficial 7th member of the Metal Men, until she was destroyed in action.
