Named after the capital of the Isle of Mull in Scotland’s Outer Hebrides, Tobermory is a member of the Wimbledon Common Wombles, and their main engineer.
Originally created for Elisabeth Beresford’s children books, the Wombles went on to star in TV shows, a live action film, and comics, including Teddy Bear and Jack and Jill, as well as their own annuals.
