Major Story Arcs

Speed Force

In the Speed Force, Hynes develops speed powers, however, every attempt to use these powers to escape causes him to spin extremely quickly. This creates destructive vortexes and time warps in the main universe. He demands Flash return him to his time, but Flash instead pulls him into the present.

Gorilla Warfare

During their journey, Flash and Turbine become separated. Dropped in Central City, he becomes disoriented and loses his memory. He meets Patty Spivot, and has his memory jogged by her and a news broadcast about Flash. He tells her that he knows where Barry is, and offers to help her find him in exchange for help getting home. He abandons his quest to return home when the gorilla invasion begins, and seeks the assistance of Solovar. He helps rescue Flash from Gorilla Grodd, and later joins the Rogues during their assault on the gorilla stronghold at the coliseum. Impressed, they invite him to join the team.

Powers and Abilities

Due to his time in the Speed Force, Turbine has the power to create and control powerful whirlwinds. He can use these offensively and defensively, as well as lifting himself or other objects in controlled flight.
