Overview
30 million years ago, Giants from space came to Earth to help humans, but they left after failing to protect an ancient civilization from destruction. Before they left, they gifted their powers to a few ancient humans. A Japanese teen Daigo Madoka is one offspring of those bloodlines, inherited giants’ powers from his ancestors.
Since the essences of giants are pure lights, they created physical bodies to exist on earth. After they returned to their home planet, their physical bodies became lifeless statues and were left on earth. In the 21st century, the earth-defending force G.U.T.S. discovered three ancient statues, Daigo as a member of G.U.T.S. is involved in the investigation.
Accidentally, Daigo’s power in DNA is connected with one of the statues, turning Daigo’s body into pure light and merging with this statue, wakening the ancient giant. Daigo found out the statue was the body of a giant named Ultraman Tiga, and their fusion allowed Daigo to use all his powers. After that, Daigo gains the ability to transform between human form and Ultraman Tiga. He uses such power to defend the Earth from aliens and monsters.

Powers of Ultraman Tiga
- Strength: Ultraman Tiga is a giant as tall as a large building, his strength is incredible, able to lift monsters weighing more than thousands of tons.
- Flight: Ultraman Tiga can fly at hypersonic speed, and supposedly to be FTL in space.
- Size Shift: Ultraman Tiga can manipulate his size, from human size to his standard giant size. If he shrinks his size, his power will be limited.
- Shield: Ultraman Tiga can create several types of energy shields and barriers, usually blocking or nullifying monsters’ attacks.
- Form Change: Ultraman Tiga can transform into three major forms: Multi Type, Air Type, and Power Type. Those three forms are based on the separation of energy, each serves different purposes.
- Muti Type is his base form, with balanced power and speed.
- Air type is the speed form. With his body turning into purple-featured colors, Tiga gains faster flying and running speed, allowing him to catch enemies in aerial combat and react to attacks in high-speed melee combats, but his strength and durability will be traded partially.
- Power Type is the combat form. With his body turning into red featured colors, Tiga’s physical strength doubles, but his speed is weakened making him fail to react to high-speed attacks, though his enhanced durability allows him to tank most attacks.
- Zeperion Beam: Ultraman Tiga’s most powerful attack. Concentrate most energies inside his body into a powerful white beam and use a cross-arm motion to shoot out. This beam is powerful enough to one-shot most monsters, stated to be powerful enough to wipe out an island. This power can only be used under Multi Type.
- Runboldt Beam Shell: Ultraman Tiga’s decisive move under Air Type. Rapidly shoot energy arrows from arms. Deadly to weak monsters, but much less powerful than Zeperion Beam.
- Deracium Beam Torrent: Ultraman Tiga’s decisive move under Power Type. Concentrate heat energy into a fireball and throw it out single-handed, powerful enough to burn most monsters to death.
- Sparklence Transformation: Daigo Madoka inherited all of Tiga’s power inside his body. He is given a small device Sparklence to transform between human form and Ultraman Tiga. Every time he turns on Sparklence, he can transform into Ultraman Tiga for approximately 3 minutes on Earth, sometimes without a time limit.
